sadly lost one of our older broodmares, Guston Brandy, early March. We
had to
have her euthanized after a fall on the ice. Brandy was the dam of
Dubonnet, Kalhua, and our 2005 filly, Millstone's Silver Fizz. Brandy
will be greatly missed.... Here at Millstone, we have decided to invest in two purebred Connemara fillies for future breeding with our foundation Connemara stallion, Heaven's Ridge Barry Mor. These two lovely fillies will make their trip from Ontario, Canada in May. They are Devon Ridge Nuala and Crosswinds Layla. Big thanks to Fiona Rhodes from Crosswinds Connemaras. You can check out Nuala and Layla on our Connemaras page for pics and information. Fiero is really growing and learning. Just started his lunging again lightly. After a month of a few minutes lunging per time, he's had several winter months off. First time out, he went out like he never stopped. Louise leaned over his back and he was great. He's ready to start his under saddle training slowly and lightly. We plan to show him lightly in the 3 yr olds materiale classes this year. The Connemara fillies Nuala and Layla have arrived from Canada. After a long process and taking two hours to load them in the trailer, they came home May 2nd. They came through the border and arrived home safely, only to find out that they had to go back to the border because the importing wasn't handled correctly! So the fillies had to be loaded up again and only took a few minutes to load this time! After all the traveling, they are doing well and settling in just fine. Page
